One of the major problem of start-up entrepreneurs is how to get the funds to grow their business and how to have the right mentorship, professional advisory services, etc.
The Nigeria Economics Summit will gives platform for innovators and entrepreneurs throughout Nigeria to pitch their start-ups to investors and as well provide opportunity for such businesses to interact with like minds and organizations that are shows interest in alleviating entrepreneurship. They will also connect to experienced investors, pitch their ideas, obtain great feedback and possibly capital.
The Nigeria Economics Summit theme for this year is “Opportunities, Productivity & Employment: Actualizing the Economic Recovery & Growth Plan”, will employ a solutions-based techniques to address the issues that will expand opportunities, tackle unemployment and improve productivity.
All start-up will be given 5 minutes each to pitch to prospective investors and 10 minutes to answer questions from them.
Eight Nigeria registered early-stage startups will be selected to pitch in front of venture capitalists and investors and must have been doing business for no more than 3 years.
- Registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and doing business for no more than three (3) years; and
2. Engaged in any sector of the economy (agribusiness, ICT, services, renewable energy, manufacturing, etc.)
Value of Award:
- New ventures with innovative ideas will be the direct beneficiaries of this event, as they will showcase their businesses before investors and have access to investment opportunities. They will also be able to receive guidance and business opinions from them during the event which will also greatly enhance their capacities to grow. In addition, they will get more visible brand effect from this platform.
- For the prospective investors, it will be an opportunity to identify and invest in new ventures that are early stage and that align with their own investment strategy.
