UNITE 2030 Worldchangers Hackathon Competition 2018

The International Dev. House (IDHouse) now accept applications for the UNITE 2030, 2-day Hackathon, virtual competition for the SDGs on enterprise and innovation with aim to unify and equip the next generation of worldChangers Hackathon competition  in turning their passion to action. The topic for the UNITE 2030 is Uniting Youth for Equality.

About UNITE 2030

The 2018 Worldchangers Hackathon competition will bring together worldchangers from different part of the world on the 7th-8th April on a virtual 48-hour competition, All selected worldchangers will be divided to 4 to 5 teams with respect to social challenges they are passionate about with allocated time frame to provide solution to this challenges.

For whole period of 48hours, All participating worldchangers will learn directly form expert through various live workshops, each team will work together to apply what they learn to address the social challenge and present their respective solution within the allocated time frame. Finalist will be selected by the judges and the overall winner will become the UNITE 2030 Global Champions 2018.

UNITE 2030 worldChangers Hackathon competition will focus on the listed Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 1: No Poverty
  • SDG 2: Zero Hunger
  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being
  • SDG 4: Quality Education
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality
  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities


  • Have the chance to work with team of potential worldchangers on sustainable solutions to crucial global challenges;
  • Exclusive networking with young people passionate about SDGs;
  • Acquire knowledge and on how to develop an impactful idea from the scratch;
  • Attend workshops throughout the event on important topics for changing the world;
  • Have the opportunity to win prizes such as invitation/acceptance to the IDHouse‘s 2018 Youth Delegate Programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the UNITE2018, you must:

  • Applicant must be 18-30 years of age by April 8th, 2018.
  • Have access to computer and WiFi (with a working microphone and speakers) during the whole period of the event.
  • You must fluent in English and have passion for global change with strong willingness to learn.


The UNITE 2030 worldChangers Hackathon competition is a fully sponsored programme, However, applicant will pay a small commitment application fee to be sure applicant will show up on the event day!
